Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, in Stavanger) is a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an instrument in her attic and being awed by the sounds it would make. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only for pleasure or to aid in development but instead, she should take it seriously. She began writing songs of her own. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. She decided to start performing her songs publicly when her mother said they could help people not to gain fame with her music, but rather to help the people around them understand their importance and the ways they can affect the world. She was suggested by her mother to perform her songs publicly in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they impact the world. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. The only thing she loves is to compose music. She claims that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
